As I continue my journey with the Salesians of Don Bosco, I would like to share a part of my journey with you! Through my writing, I hope to express both my experiences from the year as well as my faith.

I have just begun my second year in formation, the pre-novitiate. Throughout the pre-novitiate year, I will be taking in-house classes about Salesian life, prayer, Don Bosco and human development. This year also has a large emphasis on apostolic works- I will be teaching CCD, volunteering at a local elementary school as well as assisting at a weekly youth center.

I am studying to be a Salesian because I truly desire to give db1all of my strength to serving and loving the young and the poor by giving witness to the Gospel through my life. To walk in the footsteps of Don Bosco means giving everything I have to journey with the young towards Christ.

“For you I study, for you I work, for you I live and for you I am willing to give my life”

~Don Bosco

All of my new entries will be in the ‘blog posts’ tab above.
